Winchmore Students pictured with several shortlisted authors at the finale for The Enfield Children’s Book Award. Our Year 7 Library Reading Group worked hard reading, evaluating, discussing and presenting their way through the Award booklists during the school year. They celebrated The National Year of Reading in style and thoroughly enjoyed participating in this newly launched Award. ‘We attempted to give children their own voice at every stage of the procedure’ says Margaret Bright, School Library and Community Services Manager. The winner was Jacqueline Wilson for My Sister Jodie.
