'I was so suprised with my A* art result. When I recieved a phone call from Miss Grassham giving me the wonderful news about my top ten ranking out of all those entries I was in such shock I cried. I knew if I believed in my ability I could reach my potential. I worked hard, I believed and it has payed off and I am delighted to recieve this honour'

'Hard work, endless hours, but it was all definatly worth it. To be awarded a grade A* was an achievement for me, but with this enormity of this award I am highly grateful. Sometimes I felt like giving up, but I didn't, I excelled and I believe everyone at this school can to with determination and effort'

'When I first started my GCSE in art, I almost gave up. My confidence was at an all time low and I couldnt see myself getting better even though my teachers believed in me. But I love to create and express myself through my art and I stuck with it. When I put my exhibition up and saw just what I had acomplished all by myself.. it was one of the proudest moments of my life. Now, to have an A* in art and this news on top it is almost beyond comprehension and I am finally believing in myself.'

'With my A* in art I was extremely happy, but being in the top 10 in the country out of so many people is such an achievement and something both myself and my family are very proud of. Working hard to my full potential and really believing in myself is what has got me here and it is a very special moment'
